How family data is used and protected

This page explains what family and technical data may be processed in Boost Kids, why it is needed, how confidentiality is handled, and how parents can contact support regarding privacy questions.

1. What data may be processed

  • Parent account data such as name, email address, language and family settings.
  • Child profile data created by the parent, including avatar, rewards, points, tasks, learning and activity history.
  • Technical data needed to run the service, such as sessions, security logs and push notification tokens.
  • Billing or subscription data processed through the payment provider when paid plans are used.

2. Why the data is used

  • To create and maintain the family account and child access configured by the parent.
  • To operate rewards, chores, learning, video, purchases, timers and other service features.
  • To protect accounts, prevent abuse, diagnose issues and keep the service secure.
  • To process subscriptions, service messages and support requests.

3. Child accounts and parental control

The child profile is created and managed by the parent or legal guardian. A child is expected to use the service on a device supervised by an adult. Parents remain responsible for the family configuration, visible content and access permissions.

4. Confidentiality and security

Private data is treated as confidential. Access is limited to the people or service providers that need it to operate hosting, secure login, notifications, payments or technical maintenance. The service applies reasonable security measures to protect accounts and data.

5. Third-party service providers

  • Hosting and infrastructure providers.
  • Payment providers for subscriptions and billing.
  • Authentication or sign-in providers when the parent chooses an external login method.
  • Other providers only when necessary for lawful operation, support or security.
